What we cut, shape
and shave

Prices are per chair and include the wash and finish. Pick the closest match and we will confirm the right length of appointment when we reply.

Scissor or clipper cut to your usual shape, washed and dressed. The standard booking for a regular visit.

Graduated fade to bare skin with a hand-blended top. Holds a clean line for roughly two to three weeks.

    50 minutes
  • Restyle Consultation$58

For a change of direction. We look at growth pattern, density and how you dry it before anything is cut.

    60 minutes
  • Clipper Tidy$24

One length all over, neckline and ears squared off. Quick upkeep between full cuts.

    25 minutes
  • Young Parlor (under 12)$26

    30 minutes

Beard & shave

  • Hot-Towel Shave$46

Two towels, brush lather and a straight razor passed with and across the grain. Finished with a cool balm.

    45 minutes
  • Beard Shape$28

Cheek line, neck line and length set with shears. Includes a razor finish on the edges.

    30 minutes
  • Cut & Beard$56

Full cut with the beard balanced against it, so the two lines agree rather than compete.

    60 minutes
  • Head Shave$38

Razor finish over the whole head, with a sensitive-skin option using clippers and a close guard.

    40 minutes
  • Grey Blend$30

Softens grey rather than covering it. Added to any cut or beard booking on request.

    20 minutes added

Students and shift workers: the 09:00–11:00 window on Tuesday and Wednesday is our quiet stretch and carries $6 off any single service. Mention it in your request and we will apply it.

How a chair runs

Three things happen
before we cut

Most bad haircuts are decided in the first two minutes, not the last ten. This is the order we work in, every time.

  1. We read the hair dry

Dry hair shows the cowlick, the crown and where the weight really sits. Wet hair hides all three and flatters a shape that will not hold.

  2. We agree on the grow-out

You tell us how long it has to last. A cut built for six weeks is a different cut from one built for two, and we would rather say so up front.

  3. We finish how you wear it

No shine, no stiff hold unless you ask. We dry it the way you would at home so what leaves the chair is what you will see tomorrow.

The chairs

Who is cutting

Ask for a chair by name in your request, or leave it open and we will give you whoever has the right length of slot free.

Chair one

Ruben Oyelaran

Owner · Shears & restyles

Trained in a two-chair shop and still cuts most of a head with shears. The person to see when you want the shape changed rather than maintained.

Best for
Restyles, curl and coarse textures, scissor work
In shop
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Chair two

Marisol Pike

Barber · Fades & line work

Fast, exact and quiet about it. Marisol runs the tightest fade in the parlor and keeps a photo note of your last guard numbers.

Best for
Skin fades, flat tops, grey blends
In shop
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Chair three

Davey Sturrock

Barber · Razor & beard

Took over the shave bench three years ago and sharpens his own blades. Will talk you out of a beard length that your jaw will not support.

Best for
Hot-towel shaves, beard shaping, head shaves
In shop
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday

First visit

Four things worth
knowing beforehand

Nothing complicated — just the details that make a first appointment go the way you hoped.

  • Come with it dry and unstyled Washed the day before is ideal. Product makes the growth pattern hard to read, and we wash it here anyway.
  • Bring a photo of a bad cut, not a good one A reference you liked helps. A reference you hated helps more, because it tells us exactly what to avoid on your head shape.
  • Give a new shape two weeks A fresh cut sits differently for the first fortnight. If it still is not right after that, come back and we will adjust it at no charge.
  • Arrive five minutes early, not fifteen The parlor has two waiting seats. Earlier than that and you will be standing, which nobody enjoys.

Questions

Asked at the door

Do you take walk-ins or is it appointments only?

Both. Two chairs are held unbooked every morning and released at 11:00, so a walk-in before then usually gets seen. After 11:00 it depends on cancellations, and a booked request is the safer option — especially Friday and Saturday.

Can I book a beard trim without a haircut?

Yes. Beard Shape and Hot-Towel Shave are standalone bookings on the shave bench. If you want both done in one sitting, request Cut & Beard so we allocate the full hour rather than two short slots.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Let us know by the evening before and there is nothing to settle. Same-day cancellations are fine occasionally — we only ask that you tell us, because the slot can usually be given to someone on the walk-in list.

Do you cut children's hair?

Under-12s are booked as Young Parlor, ideally in the quieter morning window. The clippers come out slowly, the chair has a booster board, and if it stops being fun we finish with scissors and send you home with a tidy shape rather than a struggle.

Can you work with long or curly hair?

Yes — Ruben handles most of the longer and coarser work with shears, and we cut curl dry so the length lands where it will actually sit. Book a Restyle Consultation if the current shape has grown out past the point of a simple tidy.

Do you sell the products you use?

A short shelf of clay, sea salt spray, beard oil and a pre-shave balm sits by the counter, and we will tell you honestly if the cut needs none of it. Plenty of shapes are better off with a towel and a comb.

Is the parlor step-free?

The front door has one shallow step with a portable ramp kept behind the counter, and chair one has clear space either side for a transfer. Mention it in your request and we will have the ramp out and the chair ready when you arrive.

Tell us when,
we confirm back

Send a preferred day and service and we will reply with the nearest slots that fit it, usually the same working day.

Requests are not confirmed until we answer — if you need something in the next few hours, the morning walk-in window is the quicker route.

We use your details to answer this request and nothing else.
